Supported AI Clients
Qualified client setup and compatibility boundaries.
Vnuli configures AI clients to launch one shared local MCP server:
vnuli serve. Client-specific configuration contains no
engineering calculations or Vnuli-specific analysis behavior.
Compatibility below reflects versions and environments actually tested
for Vnuli 0.1. It does not certify every future client version,
account type, operating system, or extension build.

Normal setup commands
Run these from the initialized Vnuli project you want the AI client to use:
vnuli mcp install <client>
vnuli mcp list
vnuli mcp verify <client>Vnuli manages the supported client configuration. Normal setup does not require hand-authored MCP JSON or TOML.
Codex
- Status: Engineering workflow qualified / PASS.
- Tested on Windows with Codex CLI
0.156.1and Vnuli0.1.0. - Setup command:
vnuli mcp install codex. - Vnuli preserves unrelated Codex settings and unrelated MCP servers.
GitHub Copilot
- Status: Engineering workflow qualified / PASS.
- Tested on Windows with VS Code
1.139.1, GitHub Copilot Chat observed as0.67.0, and Vnuli0.1.0. - Setup command:
vnuli mcp install copilot. - Vnuli writes the VS Code user-profile MCP entry and includes the project working directory when installed from an initialized Vnuli project.
- In the tested environment, the user manually started the Vnuli MCP server from VS Code
MCP: List Servers.
Gemini CLI
- Status: Engineering workflow qualified / PASS.
- Tested on Windows with Gemini CLI
0.63.0, globally installed through npm, and Vnuli0.1.0. - Setup command:
vnuli mcp install gemini. - Successful qualification used Gemini API-key authentication.
- Google-account authentication behavior observed during testing was not classified as a Vnuli defect.
- After Vnuli returned deterministic evidence, Gemini hit a usage limit before composing final prose. The engineering workflow had already completed.
Claude Code
- Status: Optional - qualification deferred / not available.
- Vnuli does not currently claim Claude Code compatibility.
- Claude Code should only be marked qualified after a real Claude Code client discovers Vnuli, invokes Vnuli tools against registered engineering data, and receives deterministic evidence checked against known truth.

A qualified client completed the real workflow:
